Neu Neu Event Center/514 Studios Wedding: Emily + Troy
This was a really fun wedding at the Neu Neu Event Center/514 Studios. So much laughter and who doesn’t love a wedding where they feed each other pizza during the ceremony!
As told by Emily and Troy
How did you meet and fall in love?
We met while working at the Apple Store located at Mall of America. Although we served two different roles, our paths crossed daily at team meetings, outings, etc. After a few weeks of chatting, Troy invited Emily to his housewarming party during their first closing shift together. And the rest, they say, is history.
How did you choose your venue?
We primarily chose our venue based on price and location. Additionally, Neu Neu Event Center/514 Studios featured a perfectly modern yet industrial setting, which provided flexibility in decorations and layout.
What were your thoughts leading up to your wedding day?
Leading up their wedding, we were so, so excited! we couldn’t wait to get married and begin our adventure as husband and wife. Since Emily is such a Type A person, much of planning was complete at the beginning of their engagement. This helped alleviate stress and created less room for error on the big day.
What was your favorite part of the day?
We both agreed our favorite part of our wedding day was the speeches. We were pleasantly surprised by the number of people who wanted to share their excitement with them. Each speech was deeply unique, which further emphasized how blessed we are to have such loving, caring and thoughtful family and friends.
What is each of your favorite images from your wedding? What makes it your favorite?
Emily’s favorite image from the wedding:
Reason: We strolled past sunflowers outside of a business near our venue. This photo is so vibrantly happy and unexpected, just like our relationship, what’s not to love?
Troy’s favorite image from the wedding:
Reason: This photo is Troy’s favorite because it’s classic and timeless. It’s where he wants to be and how he wants to feel forever.
Is there anything that you would change?
The greatest compliment we received following our wedding was how authentic the ceremony and reception were to the couple. So we wouldn’t change a damn thing.
What is your best advice to anyone planning a wedding?
The best advice we can give to anyone planning a wedding is to start early, plan often and work together. Consider dividing plans evenly so the workload is fair and more fun. For examples, if one person is willing to secure the officiant, the other person can simultaneously research photographers. Working together early in your engagement helped us feel more connected and prevented the planning process from feeling daunting or overwhelming.
