Basilica and Varsity in Minneapolis: Katie +Thomas
Katie and Thomas had their wedding and reception at two of my favorite places, the Basilica and Varsity in Minneapolis. The church has stunning architecture and light is so beautiful. And just to make the day even better the reception was at the Varsity! Both Katie and Thomas have a background in theater and they both have a very dry sense of humor. Since Katie’s sister was unable to make it to the wedding they had a life size cut out of her. She was in all of the family photos and even had a great time on the dance floor. Thomas told Katie that it would be funny if someone sung the song “As Long As You’re Mine” from Wicked at a wedding since it was about a love just for a moment. Katie surprised him with the song, doing the duet with one of their friends

She did such a great job with the song! In addition to hosting weddings the Varsity is also a music venue. They have a fabulous light show and is amazing on the dance floor! The wedding was lovely and the reception was a blast. The dance floor was full all night long!
