“Music produces a kind of pleasure which human nature cannot do without.” ― Confucius
The Lamont Cranston Blues band has been part of the Minnesota music scene since 1969. Pat Hayes was one of the founding members and continues to lead the band. They are best known for the song “Upper Mississippi Shakedown”. They just realeased a new CD featuring Bruce McCabe and are having a CD release party onNov 3rd at Famous Daves. Bruce has a long history with Cranston and his story was recently featured in the Star Tribune. The core group these days is Pat Hayes, Jeff Rogers, Rod Smith and Brad Pelkey with occasional appearances by Jason Medeiros, Tim Wick, Tom Burnevik and Bruce McCabe. Pat has great stories, the band is always entertaining and as with all blues bands you never know who will show up.
